Biography

Louis Philip Glaeser was born on 19 Mar 1856.

He was the son of Louis William Glaeser and Wilhelmina Elizabeth le Sueur.

He was christened on 27 Apr 1856 at Lutheran Church, Cape Town, South Africa.

He married Maria Jacoba Hablutzel on 18 Aug 1879 at Worcester, Cape Colony, South Africa. Maria Jacoba was the daughter of Coenraad Hablutzel and Sara Marijna Wolhuter. She was born on 2 Jan 1859. She died on 24 Feb 1929 at Worcester, Cape Province, South Africa at the age of 70.

They had 6 children: Sarah Glaeser, Louis William Glaeser, Wilhelmina Elizabeth Glaeser, Johanna Elizabeth Glaeser, Robina Rykie Glaeser and Marius Augustus Glaeser.

He married Caroline Mary Webb in 1905 at Campsie, Gosford, New South Wales, Australia. She was born between Oct and Dec 1852 at Barnstaple, Devon, England.

He died on 24 Jun 1932 at 46 Moore Street, Campsie, New South Wales, Australia at the age of 76.
