George William Henry Glaeser was born on 10 Feb 1785 at Hannover, Germany.
He was the son of Johann Georg Christian Glaeser and Maria Louisa Krapp(en).
He was also known as Georg Wilhelm Heinrich Glaeser.
He was christened on 15 Feb 1785 at Garnisongemeinde Hannover, Hannover, Preußen.
He married Dorothea Catharina Cornelia van Dyk on 11 Aug 1817 at Lutheran Church, Cape Town, Cape Colony. Dorothea Catharina Cornelia was the daughter of Evert van Dyk and Maria Elizabeth Baartman. She was born on 18 Jun 1795. She died on 16 Jan 1867 at At the house of Dr L W Glaeser, Worcester, Cape Colony at the age of 71.
They had 5 children: Dorothea Klasina Glaeser, John Christian Glaeser, Louis William Glaeser, Carolina Maria Augusta Glaeser and Aletta Johanna Sophia Glaeser.
He served in Cape Regiment between 1805-1828.
He died on 25 Mar 1842 at Worcester, Cape Colony, South Africa at the age of 57.
He was buried in 1842 at Worcester, Cape Colony, South Africa.
