Selina Jane Davie was born on 14 Dec 1852 at Ormiston, Haddingtonshire, Scotland.

She was the daughter of George Davie and Mary Wortley Sanderson.

She was christened on 6 Feb 1853 at Ormiston, East Lothian, Scotland.

She immigrated from Priscilla from London (4 March) on 16 Jun 1871.

She married George Munro on 30 Mar 1875 at Preston House, Pinetown, Natal, South Africa. George was the son of George Munro and Margaret Ross. He was born on 22 May 1845 at Saltburn Village, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland. He died on 9 Mar 1923 at Preston House, Pinetown, Natal, South Africa at the age of 77.

They had 10 children: Margaret Mary (Daisy) Munro, Laura Selina Munro, James Davie (Jimmy) Munro, Alexanderina Ellen (Cissy) Munro, Alfred Charles Munro, Agnes Georgina (Nan) Munro, Isabella Sanderson (Bella) Munro, George Ross Munro, Malcolm Bruce Munro and William Kenneth Martin Munro.
