Isabella Sanderson (Bella) Munro was born on 7 Apr 1887 at Pinetown, Natal, South Africa.

She was the daughter of George Munro and Selina Jane Davie.

She married Benjamin Hugh Barrett on 24 Aug 1911 at St Paul's Church, Durban, Natal, South Africa. Benjamin Hugh was the son of Benjamin Rhodes Barrett and Maria Upton Burgess. He was born on 21 Jul 1882 at Middelburg, Transvaal. He died on 25 Oct 1954 at Addington Hospital, Durban, Natal, South Africa at the age of 72.

They had 2 children: Wilfred Hugh Barrett and Duncan Henry Barrett.

She died on 2 Jun 1970 at the age of 83.
