William Kenneth Martin Munro was born on 23 Aug 1894 at Pinetown, Colony of Natal.

He was the son of George Munro and Selina Jane Davie.

He married Mary Emma Blossom Williams on 21 Nov 1942 at St Elizabeth Church, Westville, Natal, South Africa. Mary Emma Blossom was the daughter of Percival Langford Williams and Maria Louise Margarethe Rachmann. She was born on 18 Nov 1908. She died on 7 Mar 1959 at the age of 50.

They had one child: William Langford Lester Munro.

He served in World War 1, Natal Mounted Rifles between 1914-1918.

He died on 23 Jul 1974 at Pinetown, Natal, South Africa at the age of 79.
