Biography

Ethel May Brookshaw was born on 10 Oct 1886.

She was the daughter of Walter Palmer Brookshaw and Emily Charlotte Wallis.

She was christened on 29 Jan 1887 at Modderpoort, St Augustine and St Paul, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa.

She married Hugh Cameron. Hugh was the son of James (Jim) Cameron and Elizabeth Johanna du Plooy. He was born on 20 May 1872. He died on 9 May 1934 at National Hospital, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa at the age of 61.

They had 7 children: Margaret Emily Maxwell Cameron, James Claude Cameron, Phyllis Claude Brookshaw Cameron, Olga Dorothy Cameron, Hugh Wallis Cameron, Juenne Wallis Cameron and Denis Brookshaw Cameron.

She married Charles Villiers Ellis on 5 Aug 1942 at Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa. He was born about 1883.

She died on 20 Aug 1951 at Sanatorium, Chelmsford Road, Durban, Natal Colony at the age of 64.
