She married George Claridge Wallis on 16 Jun 1852 at St George's Church, Grahamstown, Albany, Cape Colony.

They had 11 children: Rebecca Sarah Wallis, Rowland Henry Wallis, George Alfred Wallis, Emily Charlotte Wallis, Rachel Isabella Wallis, Frances Sophia Wallis, Mildred Kate Wallis, Gertrude Maude Wallis, Thomas Brooks Wallis, Arthur Frederich Claridge Wallis and Jessie Lavinia Rowland Wallis.
