Margaret Emily Maxwell Cameron was born on 22 Jun 1911.

She was the daughter of Hugh Cameron and Ethel May Brookshaw.

She was also known as Peggy Cameron.

She married John "Jack" Newsum Swift on 17 Apr 1930 at Court House, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa. John "Jack" Newsum was the son of Arthur Benjamin Swift and Gertrude Sybil Newsum. He was born on 22 Apr 1909 at Clifton, Rotherham, Yorkshire, England. He died on 17 Aug 1980 at Pietermaritz St, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa at the age of 71.

They had one child: Jeffrey Thomas Hugh Raine.

She married Johan Jansen van Vuuren van der Linde on 30 May 1934 at Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa. Johan Jansen van Vuuren was the son of Willem Ferdinand van der Linde and Anna Elizabeth van Vuuren. He was born on 2 May 1900 at Jacobsdal, Orange Free State. He died on 6 Mar 1970 at Discovery, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 69.
