She was the daughter of John Hamish Munro and Alice Elizabeth Thring.

She married Charles William Norris on 24 Feb 1904 at Tongaat, Natal, South Africa. He was born on 28 Oct 1878 at Chorlton, Manchester, Lancashire, England. He died on 4 May 1954 at 122 Woodlands Avenue, Hilary, Durban, Natal, South Africa at the age of 75.
