He married Alice Caroline Munro on 24 Feb 1904 at Tongaat, Natal, South Africa. Alice Caroline was the daughter of John Hamish Munro and Alice Elizabeth Thring. She was born on 27 Jan 1877 at The Hotel, Tongaat, Natal, South Africa. She died on 27 Dec 1927 at Hillside Cottage, Rossburgh, Durban, Natal, South Africa at the age of 50.

They had 6 children: Roland Walter Norris, Charles William Raymond Norris, Vera Caroline Alice Norris, John Munro Norris, Kathleen Jane Norris and Marjory Ellen Norris.
