Biography

Lionel Ellis Diack was born on 23 Aug 1895.

He was the son of Alfred Matthew Diack and Juanita Phoebe van Gelder.

He was christened on 24 Oct 1895 at Fauresmith, Orange Free State.

He married Dorothy Blakey on 15 Nov 1920. She was born on 23 Sep 1899. She died on 24 Oct 1985 at Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 86.

They had 3 children: Alastair Ellis Diack, Shirley Ellis Diack and Lionel Ellis Diack.

He died on 29 Feb 1980 at the age of 84.

He was buried in 1980 at Main Cemetery, Braamfontein, District Johannesburg, Gauteng, RSA.
