Biography

Louis Victor Emanuel Glaeser was born on 30 Jan 1881.

He was the son of George William Henry Glaeser and Mathilda Enrica Proksch.

He was also known as Victor Glaeser.

He married Marguerite Louise Hermione van Zyl on 25 Jan 1910 at St Andrews, Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa. Marguerite Louise Hermione was the daughter of Hermanus Christiaan van Zyl and Christine Theodora Ackermann. She was born on 12 Jan 1882 at Klerksdorp, South African Republic (Transvaal). She died on 4 May 1945 at 33, 10th Avenue, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 63.

They had 4 children: Victoria Mathilda Glaeser, Hermione Theodora Glaeser, George William Henry Glaeser and Elizabeth Glaeser.

He died on 2 Feb 1948 at Government Hospital, Port Shepstone, Natal, South Africa at the age of 67.

He was buried in 1948 at Brakpan Cemetery.
