Biography

Marguerite Louise Hermione van Zyl was born on 12 Jan 1882 at Klerksdorp, South African Republic (Transvaal).

She was the daughter of Hermanus Christiaan van Zyl and Christine Theodora Ackermann.

She married Louis Victor Emanuel Glaeser on 25 Jan 1910 at St Andrews, Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa. Louis Victor Emanuel was the son of George William Henry Glaeser and Mathilda Enrica Proksch. He was born on 30 Jan 1881. He died on 2 Feb 1948 at Government Hospital, Port Shepstone, Natal, South Africa at the age of 67.

They had 4 children: Victoria Mathilda Glaeser, Hermione Theodora Glaeser, George William Henry Glaeser and Elizabeth Glaeser.

She died on 4 May 1945 at 33, 10th Avenue, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 63.

She was buried at Brakpan Cemetery.
