Biography

Evan Maxwell Cameron was born on 1 Dec 1878.

He was the son of James (Jim) Cameron and Elizabeth Johanna du Plooy.

He was christened on 16 Feb 1879 at Wesleyan Methodist - Bloemfontein.

He married Georgina Gertrude Haynes on 8 Jul 1913 at St. Augustine, Thaba Nchu, Bloemfontein, OFS. Georgina Gertrude was the daughter of George Haynes and Living. She was born on 15 Aug 1895.

They had one child: Evan Donald Cameron.

He died on 14 Jan 1948 at Johannesburg Hospital, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 69.

He was buried in 1948 at Montgomery Park, West Park Cemetery, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.
