Louis William Glaeser was born on 20 Jun 1892 at Hopetown, Cape Colony.

He was the son of John Glaeser and Maria Lavine Olwage.

He married Henrietta Lonngren on 28 Apr 1915 at Kimberley, Cape Province, South Africa.

They had 3 children: Iris Maria Glaeser, Dulcie Mary-Ann Glaeser and Thora Glaeser.

He died in 1925.
