He married Mathilda Enrica Proksch on 9 Apr 1898 at Durban, Natal, South Africa. Mathilda Enrica was the daughter of Francis Joseph Proksch. She was born on 23 Sep 1860 at Long Island, U.S.A.. She died on 15 Aug 1909 at Zoutpansberg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 48.

He married Maud Mary Taylor on 22 Mar 1912 at Pietersburg, Soutpansberg, Transvaal, South Africa.

He married Agnes Manzie Duff on 16 Feb 1931 at Tzaneen, Letaba, Transvaal, South Africa.
