Biography

Elisabeth Swellengrebel was born on 16 Feb 1705.

She was the daughter of Johannes Swellengrebel and Johanna Cruse.

She married Ryk Tulbagh on 26 Aug 1725. Ryk was the son of Dirk Tulbagh and Catharina Cattepoel. He was born on 21 May 1699 at Utrecht, Netherlands. He died on 11 Aug 1771 at Cape Colony at the age of 72.

They had 2 children: Johannes Dirk Tulbagh and Willem Tulbagh.

She died on 13 Oct 1753 at the age of 48.
