Biography

He was the son of Joseph Frederick Schonnberg Foster and Maria Charlotte Shawe.

He married Wilhelmina Elizabeth Glaeser on 13 Aug 1885 at Cape Town, Cape Colony. Wilhelmina Elizabeth was the daughter of Louis William Glaeser and Wilhelmina Elizabeth le Sueur. She was born on 9 Sep 1866. She died on 17 Oct 1946 at Thornton House, Kenilworth Road, Kenilworth, Wynberg, Cape, South Africa at the age of 80.

They had 5 children: Lillian Foster, Ethel Foster, George Graham Foster, Doreen Stanley Foster and Vivien Stanley Foster.
