Biography

Maria Charlotte Shawe was born on 13 Sep 1827 at Cape of Good Hope.

She was the daughter of Samuel Edward Shawe and Ann Daniel.

She married Joseph Frederick Schonnberg Foster on 16 Jun 1845 at Zeekoevlei, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. Joseph Frederick Schonnberg was the son of John Foster and Mary Kent. He was born on 19 Mar 1821 at Clanwilliam, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. He died on 3 Jul 1863 at the age of 42.

They had one child: George Charles Stanley Foster.

She died on 8 May 1907 at Cape of Good Hope at the age of 79.
