Daphne Catherine Poacher was born on 19 May 1918.

She was the daughter of John Poacher and Lily Crookes.

She married Harold Eric (Bay) Knowles on 31 Aug 1957. Harold Eric (Bay) was the son of Harold Gabriel Knowles and Helena Maria Glaeser. He was born on 6 Nov 1891. He died in Jan 1980.

She married Daniel Ferguson Calder. He died in 1997.

They had 2 children: Living and Living.

She died on 26 Mar 2003 at Pinetown, Natal, South Africa at the age of 84.
