He married Margaret Florence Murgatroyd on 18 Jun 1954. She was born on 22 Dec 1922. She died on 17 Nov 1993 at Durban, Natal, South Africa at the age of 70.

He married Daphne Catherine Poacher. Daphne Catherine was the daughter of John Poacher and Lily Crookes. She was born on 19 May 1918. She died on 26 Mar 2003 at Pinetown, Natal, South Africa at the age of 84.

They had 2 children: Living and Living.

He died in 1997.
