Annie Maud Simpson was born on 18 Jun 1868.

She married William Whipp on 19 Jun 1888 at Newcastle, Natal, South Africa. William was the son of John Whipp and Mary Anne Hodgson. He was born on 28 Oct 1862 at Mooirivier, Estcourt, Natal, South Africa. He died on 24 May 1944 at Farm Hampton, Newcastle, Natal, South Africa at the age of 81.

They had 3 children: John "Jack" Whipp, Annie Dorothy Whipp and Marion Whipp.

She died on 23 Oct 1958 at the age of 90.
