Clarence David McMaster was born on 28 Mar 1885.

He was the son of David John McMaster and Mary Ann Allison.

He was christened on 7 Jul 1885 at St Andrew and St Margaret, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State.

He married Margaret Elizabeth Cameron on 3 Jun 1913 at St Augustine, Thaba Nchu , Bloemfontein, OFS. Margaret Elizabeth was the daughter of James (Jim) Cameron and Elizabeth Johanna du Plooy. She was born on 5 Jan 1865. She died on 27 Mar 1918 at Polly's Hotel, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa at the age of 53.

He married Dorothy Mary Roberts on 29 Jun 1922 at Cathcart, Cape, South Africa. She was born on 21 Jan 1897 at Port Elizabeth, Cape Colony. She died on 30 Apr 1969 at National Hospital, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa at the age of 72.

He died on 4 Aug 1970 at Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa at the age of 85.
