She was the daughter of Robert Charles Herrick Harker and Maria Susanna Terblanche.

She married Horace Thomas Leroni-Stoten on 4 Dec 1918. Horace Thomas was the son of Thomas Lironi-Stoten and Maria Louisa Millie. He was born on 20 Oct 1889 at Edmonton, Middlesex, England. He died on 9 Mar 1960 at 45a Aliwal Street, Durban, Natal, South Africa at the age of 70.
