Biography

George Low Barclay was born on 20 May 1919 at Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

He was the son of Henry James (Harry) Barclay and Dorothy Catherine Low.

He emigrated on 7 Aug 1924, from London to Cape Town, aboard Beltana.

He married Noelle Mary Clark on 6 Mar 1943 at St. George Presbyterian Church, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa. She was born on 17 Dec 1921. She died on 5 Jul 2001 at Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa at the age of 79.

They had 3 children: Carol Rae Barclay, Living and Living.

He died on 1 Aug 1971 at 223 Fanthrope Road, Mondeor, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 52.
