Gladys Mary Franklin was born on 2 Jun 1892.

She married Marius Augustus Glaeser on 10 Feb 1920 at St James Church, Worcester, Cape Province, South Africa. Marius Augustus was the son of Louis Philip Glaeser and Maria Jacoba Hablutzel. He was born on 19 Sep 1890. He died on 1 Mar 1982 at the age of 91.

They had one child: Lawrence George Glaeser.

She died on 11 Mar 1979 at the age of 86.

She was buried in 1979 at De Wet Cemetery, Worcester, Cape Colony.
