Biography

Martin Geary was born on 15 Oct 1878 at Wickliffe Bay, New Zealand.

He was the son of John (Black John, Hone Kere) Geary and Annie Hughes.

He married Edith (Annie) Hall in 1900. She died on 17 Aug 1909.

They had one child: Albert (Bert) John Geary.

He died on 13 Nov 1965 at Balclutha Hospital, Balclutha, Otago, New Zealand at the age of 87.
