Elizabeth du Preez was born on 22 Feb 1728 at Swellendam, Overberg District Municipality, Western Cape, South Africa.

She was the daughter of Philippe du Preez and Isabella Potgieter.

She married Philipus Rudolphus Botha on 8 Oct 1747. Philipus Rudolphus was the son of Theunis Botha and Maria Magdalena Snyman. He was born about 1722 at Graaff-Reinet, Western District, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He died in Nov 1825 at Somerset East, Cape Colony.

They had one child: Philippus Rudolph Botha.

She died on 7 Jun 1779 at Cape, South Africa at the age of 51.
