Johannes de Wet was born on 7 Sep 1794.
He was the son of Hendrik Justinus de Wet and Elisabeth Jacoba le Fèbre.
He married Adriana Dorothea Horak on 15 Apr 1833. She was born in 1796. She died in 1868.
They had 2 children: Maria Margaretha de Wet and Margaretha Jacoba de Wet.
He died on 15 Jun 1875 at the age of 80.
