Maria Magdalena Blankenberg was born in 1712.

She was the daughter of Johannes Blankenberg and Catharina Baumann.

She married Johannes Carolus de Wet on 26 Oct 1732. Johannes Carolus was the son of Jacobus de Wet and Christina Bergh. He was born in Mar 1709. He died on 1 May 1748.

They had 10 children: Jacobus Johannes de Wet, Catharina Christina de Wet, Christina Jacoba de Wet, Johannes Matthias de Wet, Olof Godlieb de Wet, Catharina Jacoba de Wet, Johanna Hillegonda de Wet, Frederik Wilhelm de Wet, Maria Magdalena de Wet and Hendrik Justinus de Wet.
