Biography

John Low was born on 7 Oct 1809 at Old Deer, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

He was the son of Alexander Low and Mary Raitt.

He married Mary Geils on 27 Jun 1835 at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Mary was the daughter of George Geils and Janet Grubb. She was born on 6 Mar 1815 at Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She died on 10 Nov 1884 at Kemnay (Whitestone), Aberdeenshire, Scotland at the age of 69.

They had 10 children: Margaret Low, Elizabeth Low, Janet Low, John Low, Mary Low, Alexander Low, James Low, Andrew Stevenson Low, Anthony Keith Low and Willam Leslie Low.

He died on 23 Jul 1889 at Kemnay (Whitestone), Aberdeenshire, Scotland at the age of 79.
