Biography

He was the son of Hendrik Cloete and Hester Anna Lourens.

He married Anna Catharina Scheller on 9 Jul 1780 at Cape, South Africa. Anna Catharina was the daughter of Sebastian Valentin Scheller and Gesina Frank. She died on Deceased at Cape, South Africa.

They had 7 children: Hester Anna Cloete, Hendrik Cloete, Gesina Wilhelmina Cloete, Sibelle Catharina Cloete, Sebastian Valentijn Cloete, Jacob Pieter Cloete and Johan Gerhard Cloete.
