She was the daughter of William Roland Thomson and Gwyneth Muriel Munro.

She married Rory Lynsky. He was born on 28 Feb 1945 at Durban, Natal, South Africa. He died on 23 Apr 2023 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia at the age of 78.

They had 2 children: Living and Living.
