Biography

Dorothy Thackwray was born in 1804.

She was the daughter of William Thackwray.

She married James Allison on 4 Jan 1827 at Grahamstown, Albany, Cape Colony. James was the son of James Allison and Ann Maxwell. He was born on 4 Jul 1802 at Carlisle, Cumberland, England. He died on 1 Apr 1875 at 1 Loop Street, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa at the age of 72.

She died on 23 Jun 1866.

She was buried at Wesleyan Cemetery, Commercial Road, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa.
