He married Elizabeth Jacoba Baartman on 16 May 1813. Elizabeth Jacoba was the daughter of Maarten Baartman and Catharina Elisabeth Janse.

He married Helena Christina Wilhelmina Mocke on 24 Jan 1816. Helena Christina Wilhelmina was the daughter of Johann Gottfried Mocke and Sophia Rebekka Plagmann.

They had 2 children: Jaques Gideon Tredoux and Johan Frederik Schikkerling Tredoux.

He died on 29 Mar 1832 at Cape Town, Cape Colony at the age of 64.
