She was the daughter of Thomas Talbot Harrington Scholz and Theodosia Maria Wentzel.

She married Francis James Diack on 3 Mar 1881 at Scottish Church, Cape Town, Cape Colony. Francis James was the son of Alexander Diack and Agnes Ellis. He was born on 13 May 1856 at St Nicholas, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He died on 3 Feb 1890 at Vernon Terrace, Cape Town, Cape Colony at the age of 33.

They had 2 children: Alexander Ellis Diack and Agnes Marie Diack.

She died on 10 Jan 1887 at 33 Plein Street, Cape Town, Cape Colony.

She was buried in 1887 at St Peters Cemetery, Observatory, Cape Town, Cape Colony.
