Hermann Heinrich Schwegmann was born on 13 Jul 1878.

He was the son of Friedrich Wilhelm Schwegmann and Elise Liselde Schefermann.

He married Frieda Hedwig Posselt on 4 Mar 1915 at Durban, Natal, South Africa. She was born on 30 Jun 1863. She died on 17 Jun 1964 at the age of 100.

He died on 16 May 1951 at St Mary's Hospital, Marianhill, Pinetown, Natal, South Africa at the age of 72.
