Biography

Friedrich Wilhelm Schwegmann was born on 7 Jul 1849.

He was the son of Bernhard Heinrich Schwegman and Margarete Marie Elise Fortmann.

He married Elise Liselde Schefermann on 7 Sep 1876 at New Germany, Colony of Natal, South Africa. She was born on 21 Jan 1858. She died on 27 Mar 1918 at Wyebank, Natal, South Africa at the age of 60.

They had 5 children: Hermann Heinrich Schwegmann, Frederick Herman Schwegmann, Heinrich Friedrich Schwegmann, Heinrich Johannes Schwegmann and Friedrich Wilhelm Schwegmann.

He died on 29 Oct 1912 at New Germany, Natal, South Africa at the age of 63.

He was buried at Lutheran Church, New Germany, Natal, South Africa.
