Marie Louisa Anne Nixen was born on 5 Apr 1831 at Berlin, Germany.

She was the daughter of Johann Nixen.

She married Theodor Rudolph Julius Schulz on 26 Aug 1855 at Evangelische Kirche. Petrikirche Berlin, Brandenburg, Deutschland. Theodor Rudolph Julius was the son of Johann Heinrich Schulz and Julie Treplin. He was born on 6 Jul 1823 at Sankt Georgen, Berlin Stadt, Brandenburg, Prussia. He died on 9 Mar 1891 at Albany Grove, Durban, Colony of Natal at the age of 67.

They had 7 children: Julius Antonius Cecil Schulz, Julius Antonius Aurelius Schulz, Margarethe Sidonie Schulz, Julius Antonius "Trooper" Schulz, Inez Wilmans Schulz, Julia Maud Orlinde Schulz and Julius Antonius Arminius Schulz.

She died on 27 Mar 1900 at 50 Albany Grove, Durban, Colony of Natal, South Africa at the age of 68.
