Mary Stoddart was born about 1827.

She was the daughter of James Stoggart and Christina Draylis.

She married Thomas Vallance on 8 Aug 1856 at Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland. Thomas was the son of Colin Vallance and Agnes Mackay. He was born about 1824. He died on 26 Feb 1887 at 16 Marshall Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.

They had 7 children: Mary Vallance, Agnes Vallance, Christina Vallance, Thomas Vallance, James Vallance, Isabella Vallance and Mary Vallance.

She died on 22 Aug 1873 at Park Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.
