He married Dorothea Oelofse on 7 Jan 1709 at Stellenbosch, Cape of Good Hope. Dorothea was the daughter of Andries Oelofse and Sara Leenderts Van Gyselen. She was born about 1695.

They had one child: Frans Hendrikse Campher.

He died between 3 May 1736 and 1 Nov 1736.
