Biography

Maria Catharina Hoeve was born about 1768 at Holland.

She was the daughter of Johannes Sigmundus Hoeve and Catharine Cornelia de Waal.

She married Johannes Hendricus Fischer on 2 May 1790. Johannes Hendricus was the son of Johann Joachim Heinrich Fischer and Alida Johanna Heufke. He died on 30 Jul 1839 at Groot Drakenstein, Cape Town, Cape Colony, South Africa.

They had 9 children: Rykje Catharina Arnoldina Fischer, Catharina Cornelia Fischer, Alida Jacoba Fischer, Wilhelmina Josina Fischer, Johannes Sigismundus Fischer, George Hoeve Fischer, Willem Hiddigh Fischer, Maria Catharina Alida Fischer and Johannes Hendricus Fischer.

She died on 21 May 1838 at Tulbagh, Cape Colony, South Africa.
