Biography

He was the son of Johann Joachim Heinrich Fischer and Alida Johanna Heufke.

He was christened on 6 Mar 1763 at Cape Town, Cape, South Africa.

He married Maria Catharina Hoeve on 2 May 1790. Maria Catharina was the daughter of Johannes Sigmundus Hoeve and Catharine Cornelia de Waal. She was born about 1768 at Holland. She died on 21 May 1838 at Tulbagh, Cape Colony, South Africa.

They had 9 children: Rykje Catharina Arnoldina Fischer, Catharina Cornelia Fischer, Alida Jacoba Fischer, Wilhelmina Josina Fischer, Johannes Sigismundus Fischer, George Hoeve Fischer, Willem Hiddigh Fischer, Maria Catharina Alida Fischer and Johannes Hendricus Fischer.

He died on 30 Jul 1839 at Groot Drakenstein, Cape Town, Cape Colony, South Africa.
