Biography

Sydney Kirkland was born on 5 Feb 1903.

He was the son of Harry George Kirkland and May Firth.

He was christened on 4 Dec 1943 at St Francis of Assisi, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.

He married Margaret Selina (Peggy) Dryden. Margaret Selina (Peggy) was the daughter of Alexander Dryden and Margaret Mary (Daisy) Munro. She was born on 9 Apr 1901. She died on 30 May 1967 at the age of 66.

They had 3 children: Geoffrey Dryden Kirkland, Kenneth Graham Kirkland and Norma Jean Kirkland.

He died on 30 May 1962 at 15 West Street, Grahamstown, Cape, South Africa at the age of 59.

He was buried in 1962 at Waainek Cemetery, Grahamstown, Cape, South Africa.
