Barry Gower Jackson was born on 26 Nov 1930.

He was the son of Staley Nettleship Gower Jackson and Enid Dacomb.

He was christened on 4 Apr 1931 at St Thomas Church, Durban, Natal.

He married Daisy Christian Charlotte McDonald on 17 Dec 1960. She was born on 12 Jan 1937. She died on 8 May 1999 at the age of 62.

They had 3 children: Living, Living and Living.

He died on 27 Feb 2019 at the age of 88.
