Francis Ferdinand Versveld was born about 1862.

He married Susan Frances van der Bijl on 9 Nov 1887 at Worcester, Cape, South Africa. Susan Frances was the daughter of Philip Daniel Johannes van der Byl and Helena Maria Geertruyda le Sueur. She was born on 3 Sep 1866 at Worcester, Cape, South Africa. She died on 17 May 1934 at the age of 67.
