Biography

Alfred James Catterall was born about 1863.

He married Jessie Dearlove on 15 May 1888 at Johannesburg, Goudvelden, Transvaal. Jessie was the daughter of Joseph Avery Dearlove and Mary Low. She was born on 25 Oct 1869 at Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa. She died on 22 Aug 1945 at Dundee, Natal, South Africa at the age of 75.

They had 6 children: Alfred Curtis Catterall, Phyllis Mary Catterall, Horace Eric Catterall, Cyril Aubrey Catterall, Kenneth Manfred Catterall and Frederick Thomas Hugh Catterall.

He died on 7 Mar 1922 at Newclare, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.
