Anna Fothergill was born at St Albans, London, England.

She was the daughter of John Fothergill and Anna Marston.

She married Sergius Swellengrebel in Nov 1728 at London. Sergius was the son of Balthazar Swellengrebel and Elisabeth Kramer. He was born at Amsterdam, Holland. He died on 8 Dec 1760 at Kaap de Goede Hoop.

They had one child: Sergius Swellengrebel.
