Biography

Francois le Sueur was born on 11 May 1701 at Ooyen, Gelderland, Holland.

He was the son of Jacques le Sueur and Johanna Smit.

He was also known as Franciscus.

He married Johanna Catharina Swellengrebel on 2 Apr 1730. Johanna Catharina was the daughter of Johannes Swellengrebel and Johanna Cruse. She was born on 21 Jul 1711. She died on 16 Mar 1771 at Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope at the age of 59.

They had 7 children: Jan Jacob le Sueur, Johanna Engela le Sueur, Hendrica Helena le Sueur, Jacobus Johannes le Sueur, Christina Johanna le Sueur, Petrus Lodowicus le Sueur and Hendrik le Sueur.

His occupation was Minister, Groote Kerk..

He died on 1 May 1758 at Cape Town, Cape, South Africa at the age of 56.
