She was also known as Betsy McBean Munro.

She married Robert Munro on 9 Sep 1853 at Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland. Robert was the son of Donald Munro and Catherine McKenzie. He was born on 8 May 1797 at Tullich, Kilmuir-Easter, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland. He died on 28 May 1856 at 2 Munro Street, Inverness, Scotland at the age of 59.

They had one child: Robert Munro.
